LOCATION: Camden, NW1

 

START: End of March/Beginning of April (open to a later start date in April for the right person)

 

SALARY: £50,000 - £53,000 gross per year​

DAYS: Monday to Friday

 

HOURS: 8am – 6pm Tuesday to Thursday and

9am - 5pm on Mondays and Fridays (TOTAL = 46 hours)

DESCRIPTION:

This wonderful family is looking for an energetic, nurturing, and experienced full-time nanny to have sole charge of an 11-month-old gorgeous baby boy starting at the end of March or beginning of April. Both parents work full time so they would love a nanny to be part of their family as mum will return to work in May. They also have a friendly 2-year-old English bulldog who adores the baby and is very gentle with him.

The parents are looking for an engaging and fun nanny who enjoys being active and who genuinely loves their job and spending time with babies and young children. As first-time parents they would love their nanny to offer advice and support as their baby reaches new stages and work in a team with them. It would be great if you can advise and support with following his routines, helping him to reach his milestones.

The parents would like to find a fluent English-speaking nanny who can be relaxed and chatty with their son. They would like a nanny who is interested in and has experience in early learning and development, so he is stimulated and engaged with. They want their nanny to plan thoughtful activities, take him outdoors daily, introduce him to new experiences, and encourage independent play and socialisation with others.

They value excellent communication, organisation, flexibility and someone who is proactive around finding stimulating enriching activities for the baby. Unfortunately they don't have parking for a nanny who wants to drive to work and you will need to get to them by tube or bus.

REQUIREMENTS: ​

• Minimum of 8 years nannying experience with babies from 10 months old as well as being able to support with baby led weaning, toilet training and managing the routines for the baby as he gets older. Childcare qualifications are a plus and someone who has a good understanding and passion for working with and developing babies and toddlers. An interest in cooking fresh healthy meals for the baby is also important. Ideally you have worked with first time parents and can support them in this exciting new journey.

DUTIES:

Usual nanny duties and responsibilities to care for the baby to include:

• Planning and delivering appropriate activities for fun and learning and development, both in and out of the home, such as attending local classes appropriate for his age group, going for walks, and attending playgroups and play dates.

• Stimulate through play, music, books, sensory activities etc.

• Support with cooking for the baby, following baby led weaning and preparing fresh and healthy meals.

• Tidying up after the baby when in your care and general nanny duties.

• Looking after his health and safety.

• Following routines and other developmental milestones.

• Evening babysitting once per month.
